FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many hours of cleaning will I need?
Great question! We understand that you may not always be sure of the exact length of time needed for your clean. By visiting you personally with our free noncommittal consultation service, we are able to understand your exact requirements and situation and are able to advise you more accurately. If you are on a budget we will discuss how we may best serve you, subject to a minimum of 2 hours of cleaning per visit.
Do you supply the cleaning materials?
Another great question! No we don't. We will use your cleaning products, vacuum cleaner, mops etc. This enables us to keep our costs to a minimum & it safeguards against cross contamination of using equipment that has been in many different homes. Most clients tell us they prefer this way, as it makes them feel 'safer'. However we do have our own online shop which includes the very best in Eco friendly cleaning products, where regular clients have the opportunity of taking advantage of our 'Refill-Reuse-Recycle' service.
Will I get to meet my cleaner first?
We very much prefer that you are at home on the first service clean, in order that you may assist your professional house cleaner with any questions or queries they may have, if this is not possible your cleaner will contact you by phone to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet at your home before your service. This is a good time to provide them with a key to the property (if you have choosen to do so) & discuss any security procedures you may have.
Do I need to be at home on my cleaning day?
This is entirely your choice. Our cleaners are used to being key holders as the majority of our clients are out at work on their cleaning day. However, if you prefer to be there on the day that is absolutely fine too.
How do you vet your cleaners?
With great care! Our recruitment process involves approval at each of the below stages. Only on completion of all these stages are our cleaners authorised to provide services to our clients:
Stage 1 - Receive applicant's C.V & conduct a short telephone interview.
Stage 2 - Interview the applicant in their own home. Obtain proof of I.D & address & 2 references .
Stage 3 - Contact the applicant's referees, along with asking the applicant to apply for a DBS check (Disclosure & Barring Service)
Stage 4 - Enrole applicant on our training program.
What if my cleaner is off sick or on holiday?
Your cleaner will inform you two weeks in advance if they are to be away on holiday, and they will also inform you if they are ill on the day of your service or before if possible. We will not send a replacement cleaner to your home without your consent, as many of our clients prefer to miss a clean or make other arrangements with their regular cleaner when they are back in work.
Are you insured for accidental damage?
Yes. For your peace of mind we carry public liability insurance.
How do I pay?
You should set up a regular bank transfer for the day of your scheduled clean. An initial bond equivalent to one service clean is also necessary to secure a regular appointed service time.
What happens if I cannot use all my hours of cleaning?
You can ask your cleaner to do other things like ironing or internal window cleaning, check our 'Bolt Ons' list of tasks that your cleaner can perform.
